There is no need to defer hospice care due to financial concerns. The Medicare Hospice Benefit covers 100 percent of the cost of care related to the terminal illness. In most states, Medicaid also provides hospice coverage, as do most private insurance plans. Veterans Benefits
Hospice & Palliative Care can also be covered under VA benefits for qualified veterans. It is generally arranged and coordinated with a VA social worker at the facility in which you receive your health care.
